History & Mission
Fun in the Sun Lacrosse was created in 2005 by high school classmates and former teammates, Kristin Wood and Megan Murphy. Over the past six years, Fun in the Sun Lax has expanded its camp offerings and added pick up oppurtunities. Now soley run by Megan Murphy, Fun in the Sun operates out of Weston, Connecticut and continues to see growing registration numbers and more towns represented.
The goal of Fun in the Sun Lax is to give each girl a safe, educational and fun summer lacrosse experience. Fun in the Sun Lax prides itself on the quality of it's coaches. Only the the most upbeat, positive and knowleagable coaches are involved. The all-girls camp allows for a relaxed and comforting atmosphere for learning. Girls are never an afterthought or add-on at these camps.
Camp Founder & Co- Director: Megan Borman (Murphy)
Megan, a 2003 graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in history, was a member of the Gettysburg Women’s Lacrosse team named a two-time IWLCA National All-American, three-time Regional All-American, three-time All-Conference player, Conference Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year by Inside Lacrosse Magazine.
A Wilton, CT, native, Megan was a 12-time letter winner in soccer, basketball, tennis and lacrosse at Wilton High School. Since college, Megan has coached for the English Lacrosse Association in Manchester, England, and worked as Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
From 2011 through 2014, Megan was the Head Coach for Weston High School girls lacrosse program. In her four years as head coach, Megan coached Weston Girls Lacrosse to the 2011 & 2013 Class S State Championships and the best season in program history in 2013(21-1). Megan was also named 2011 Class S Coach of the Year and 2013 CT Post's All-Region Girls Lacrosse Coach of the year in honor of the team's success.
Megan is currently the Co-Head Coach for the Loomis Chaffee Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team.

Kristin is a 2007 graduate of the University of Connecticut where she was a member of the UConn Women’s Lacrosse team. Kristin earned honors as a IWLCA All Northeast All-Star and Big East Conference All-Star Honoree in 2007. Kristin was also awarded the Sam Witroyl Leadership and Sportsmanship Award in her senior year.
Kristin grew up in Upstate, NY, where she participated as a three season athlete in swimming, basketball and lacrosse at Bethlehem Central High School. Kristin was honored as a two time high school All-American lacrosse player. She has coached for the English Lacrosse Association in Darlington, England, and worked as the Graduate Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at the University of New Haven where she completed her Masters Degree in Sport Management.
Kristin has had numerous experiences coaching girls lacrosse at the youth, high school and college level. She has recently taken on the role as Head Girls Lacrosse Coach for Weston High School.
